Welcome to Social Squad, a platform to help you manage your social schedules, connect with friends, and organize events. By accessing or using the Social Squad platform (available via our mobile apps on Google Play, the Apple App Store, and our website at https://socialsquad.app), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Social Squad.
If you disagree with these Terms, please refrain from using the Platform. We may update these Terms periodically, so we encourage you to review them regularly.
The term “you” refers to the user accessing and using the Platform.
2. About Social Squad
Social Squad is operated by OnyxTec Solutions and registered in the USA. Its offices are located in Dallas, Texas, USA, and Lahore, Pakistan. For inquiries, contact us at socialsquad@onyxtec.co. The Platform provides tools for managing social schedules, joining groups, planning events, and sharing availability. It may also include integrations with third-party services like calendars.
3. Account Registration and Use
- You must create an account to access certain features of the Platform and provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.
- Age Restriction: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. Parental consent is required if you are under 13.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. Social Squad is not liable for losses resulting from your failure to comply.
4. Use of the Platform
Social Squad grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
Prohibited Activities:
- Using the Platform for illegal activities, including intellectual property violations, harassment, or fraudulent behavior.
- Uploading harmful, offensive, or objectionable content.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Platform.
- Interfering with or disrupting Platform operations.
5. Connecting with Friends and Invitations
You can send friend requests to registered users and invite non-registered users via SMS, email, or social platforms. By sending invitations, you grant Social Squad permission to contact the invited individuals on your behalf.
6. Event Creation and Management
You can create events (e.g., plans, reminders, invitations) and share them with friends. These events may include descriptions, images, dates, times, and locations.
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for organizing and executing the events you create.
- Social Squad is not liable for issues arising during event planning or participation.
7. Privacy and Data Use
Social Squad values your privacy. We process your data under our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you agree to our collection and use of your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
User Controls:
- Manage your privacy preferences through the Platform settings.
- Ensure the confidentiality of your shared information, including calendar events and availability.
8. Content and User-Generated Data
- You retain ownership of the content you upload to the Platform (e.g., calendar events, polls, media).
- By uploading content, you grant Social Squad a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and display the content to provide Platform services.
- Prohibited Content: Do not upload content that is:
- Offensive, harmful, or defamatory.
- Harassing, abusive, or threatening.
- Obscene, sexually explicit, or promoting hate speech.
- Violating intellectual property rights or any applicable laws.
9. Filtering and Reporting Objectionable Content
Social Squad is committed to ensuring a safe user experience. The following mechanisms are in place:
- Reporting Tools: Users can report inappropriate content (e.g., events, posts, or messages) via built-in reporting features.
- Reports will be reviewed within 24 hours of submission.
- If content violates our policies, it will be removed, and appropriate action will be taken against the user responsible.
- User Notifications: Users who report content will receive acknowledgment and updates on the status of their reports.
- Moderation Process: We monitor and moderate flagged content and take necessary steps, including content removal or account suspension, as per our guidelines.
10. Blocking Abusive Users
- The Platform allows you to block abusive users.
- Blocked users will no longer be able to contact or interact with you.
- Blocked users cannot view your profile, events, or shared content.
- If a user is reported multiple times for violations, their account may be permanently suspended.
11. Third-Party Integrations
The Platform integrates with third-party services (e.g., calendars, messaging apps). By using these services, you agree to their respective terms.
Social Squad is not responsible for issues arising from third-party integrations.
12. Termination and Suspension
- Social Squad reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.
- You can delete your account via the settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed unless legally required to be retained.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Squad is not liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the Platform.
- Errors, interruptions, or inaccuracies in the Platform.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Social Squad Ltd harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Platform.
- Violations of these Terms.
